MyTrashBid connects customers with independent local haulers. Customers post jobs, vetted haulers submit competitive bids, and the customer accepts the bid they choose. Payment for an accepted job is processed and held through MyTrashBid, and released to the hauler once the job is confirmed complete. Chats and job posts are monitored to keep the marketplace fair and to protect both sides.
Keeping business on MyTrashBid
Keeping your job, messages, and payment on MyTrashBid is what allows us to protect both the customer and the hauler if something goes wrong. Arranging jobs or payment off-platform removes those protections for everyone involved.
Platform abuse & account suspension
The following may result in a warning, suspension, or permanent deactivation of your account:
- Sharing contact or payment information to arrange a job off-platform to avoid MyTrashBid's fees and protections
- Harassing, threatening, or abusive communication toward another user
- Posting fraudulent jobs, fake bids, or manipulating reviews
- Repeated no-shows or failure to complete a confirmed, accepted job
- Attempting to circumvent platform payments or the cancellation and refund process
Payments, cancellations & refunds
- When a customer accepts a bid, payment is authorized and/or collected through MyTrashBid and held until the job is confirmed complete, at which point it is released to the hauler (less MyTrashBid's service fee).
- Payments for jobs that have been completed are non-refundable.
- Cancellations may be requested by either party and are reviewed by MyTrashBid. Where a job has not been completed, any payment being held is handled at MyTrashBid's discretion — released, refunded, or partially refunded — based on when the cancellation occurred, the circumstances, and our review.
- Where an account is suspended for cause and a job has not been completed, any payment being held will be handled at MyTrashBid's discretion based on the circumstances.
Monitoring
Chats and job posts are monitored, and contact and payment information may be automatically hidden in messages, to keep the marketplace fair and protect both parties. Keeping communication in-app also gives both sides a clear record if there is ever a dispute.
